You are eligible to activate Citibank Credit Protector anytime on or after your enrollment date, as long as your covered event (as defined in the Credit Protector Program Summary*) becomes effective on or after this date and you otherwise qualify for the benefit. Your enrollment date is included with the Credit Protector Welcome Kit, which you receive within 10 days of enrolling online.
Call Citibank Credit Protector line at 1-888-592-7344 to report your situation within 180 days of its occurrence. We'll send verification documents for you to complete.
Just update your benefit forms on a monthly basis with verification of your loss, such as written notice from your doctor or continuing proof of job loss.
You, the highest wage earner in your household, or a member of your household in the case of a life event as described in the Credit Protector Program Summary*.
You may receive Job Loss Protection benefits for a single qualifying event for up to 6 months. See the Job Loss Protection Program Summary* for benefit details, as well as additional information regarding eligibility and qualifying conditions.
If you are approved for benefits, you can get an account deferral or an account credit, depending on the covered event. No Credit Protector fee will be billed while your benefit is activated. If you owe a past due amount at the time your activation request is approved, it must be paid for your account to be current.
Each month's participation in the Job Loss Protection Program cost $4.95 per month. The fee is automatically billed to your credit card and appears on your statement.
If you have no New Balance on the closing date for any billing period, you are NOT charged the Credit Protector fee. If you do have a New Balance shown on your billing statement (even if you pay it by or before the Payment Due Date) you will still be charged a fee.
